Presidency Clears 492 Delegates For Confab, Appoints 3 Assistance Secretaries

The Presidency has approved the appointment of the 492 delegates for the National Conference scheduled to commence next week.

In a statement by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, President Goodluck Jonathan also approved names of three assistant secretaries to serve at the secretariat of the confab.

They are: Dr. Akilu Ndabawa to serve as Assistant Secretary, Conference Proceeding, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu would work as Assistant Secretary, Finance and Administration, while Mr. James Akpandem would serve as Assistant Secretary, Media and Communications.

The names of delegates and their groupings are listed below:

The 37 delegates representing the elder statemen are:Dr. Tunji Braithwaite, Chief Ayo Adebanjo‎, Chief Richard Akinjide, Chief Olu Falae, Erelu Olusola Obada, Chief Afe Babalola, (SAN)‎, Gen. Ike Nwachukwu, Iyom Josephine Anenih, Sen. Jim Nwobodo and Chief Mike Ahamba (SAN).
