Former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission EFCC and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress APC, Mr. Nuhu Ribadu, has vowed that the opposition APC, would fight the ravaging scourge of corruption in the country saying the party represents the change that Nigerians are yearning for.
Ribadu who spoke to journalists in Yola on Friday declared that the spate of defections of members of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party PDP to the opposition shows that APC would be the party to beat in 2015.
According to the former anti-corruption czar, “people are leaving PDP for APC because they needed change. APC symbolised the position of majority of Nigerians. We are happy to be the platform for change that Nigerians are yearning for”, Ribadu said.
The former EFCC boss noted that the scourge of corruption remains endemic in Nigeria, stressing that the APC was committed to fighting corruption in the country.
“APC is going to stop corruption for sure,” he said, adding corruption is destroying Nigeria and we must put a stop to it.”
