News Investigators/ An Abuja High Court has nullified the arrest and continued detention of the suspended governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele.
The sitting in Abuja presided over by Justice Bello Kawu, granted the order following an application by Mr. Emefiele.
Just yesterday, the Department of State Services under whose custody Mr. Emefiele is kept took the suspended CBN governor to court in compliance with a court order.
Recall that on June 9, President Bola Tinubu suspended Emefiele as CBN Governor and directed him to hand over to Deputy Governor, Operations Directorate, Folashodun Adebisi Shonubi.
Mr Emefiele was arrested the following day and has since remained in DSS custody.
