BREAKING: Tinubu Appoints Tunji Olaopa As New Federal Civil Service Commission

News Investigators/ President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Tunji Olaopa, a professor, as the new chairman of the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC).

Mr. Tinubu also approved the appointment of commissioners to represent the states of the federation, subject to the confirmation of the Nigerian Senate.

The appointment was disclosed in a statement by presidential spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, in Abuja on Friday.

“The new team is expected to commence work on November 30, 2023, following the expiration of the tenure of the current FCSC Chairman and membership,” Mr Ngelale stated.

The new FCSC leadership team includes: Daudu Ibrahim Jalo — Member (Representing Adamawa | Gombe | Taraba); Gekpe Grace Isu — Member (Representing Akwa Ibom | Cross River); Chamberlain Nwele — Member (Representing Anambra | Ebonyi | Enugu); Rufus N. Godwins — Member (Representing Rivers | Delta | Bayelsa); Adamu Hussein — Member (Representing Niger | FCT) and Aminu Nabegu — Member (Representing Jigawa | Kano).

Others are: Hindatu Abdullahi — Member (Representing Kaduna | Katsina); Shehu Aliyu — Member (Representing Kebbi | Sokoto | Zamfara); Odekunle Rukiyat Aduke — Member (Representing Kogi | Kwara); Jide Jimoh — Member (Representing Lagos | Ogun) and Festus Oyebade — Member (Representing Osun and Oyo).
