Bamidele Opeyemi Emerges As Senate Leader, Ndume Chief Whip

News Investigators/ The Senator representing Ekiti Central Senatorial District, Bamidele Opeyemi, has emerged as Majority Leader of the 10th Senate.

Mr. Opeyemi emerged as the Senate resumed sitting after its vacation.

Also, Senator representing Borno South Senatorial District, Ali Ndume was announced as Chief Whip.

Both lawmakers emerged on Tuesday after a close-door meeting presided by Senate President Godswill Akpabío.

Their emergence followed the recommendation by the ruling All Progressives Congress.

Similarly, the House of Representatives is expected to announcement it principal officers at its resumed sitting today.
