Senators Kaka, Agboola, Ladoja, Others Escape Death As Overland Plane Develops Fault Mid-air

Two serving Senators Gbenga Kaka and Hosea Agboola as well as former governor of Oyo State, Senator Rasheed Ladoja, escaped death today by whisker awhile ago as the aircraft they bordered from Ibadan to Abuja suddenly had its wind screen damaged when they were approaching Niger State airspace.
Other notable passengers in the airplane which eventually made a detour to Lagos include,  former president of the Nigeria Union of journalist, Comrade Lanre Ogundipe and some delegates in the ongoing National Conference  and Mr. Demola Akinlabi an officer in Accountant General Office.

Also on board were Oyo State Commissioner for Information, Prince Gbade Lana and a Federal Commissioner with the National Population Commission, Mr. Abdul-Lateef Gbadamosi.

An eye witness who narrated the incident stated that “an Overland Airways plane with registration number 5NBPE had its wind shield got broken mid way into Niger state from Ibadan made a detour  to Lagos .

“Inside the plane you have former governor of Oyo state, Ladoja two serving senators Senator Genga Kaka from Ogun and Senator Hoseah Agboola from Oyo state. Others include former NUJ National President Lanre Ogundipe, Demola Akinlabi an officer in Accountant General Office including other passengers that were not immediately recognized”

One of the passengers involved explained that some passengers that could not withstand mishap fainted and the plane crew had to give them first aid treatment, adding ” right now we are parked at hanger section of MMA Lagos”.
“We were moved into another Overland aircraft arriving from Enugu with registration number 5N-BPF. Just boarded now. Three hours after landing in Lagos”, he said.

The delegates were coming back to Abuja to resume sitting monday morning, but when the unexpected happened they could not attend the morning session with their colleagues.
