Declare Your Ambition Now Akpabio Tells Jonathan

Chairman of the PDP-Governor’s Forum and Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr. Godswill Akpabio, has urged President Goodluck Jonathan to declare his ambition to contest the 2015 presidential election without further delay, just as he declared his support for the the president’s re-election.

Akpabio who led a delegation of Peoples Democratic Party members from Akwa Ibom on a solidarity visit to the new National Chairman of Party, Mr. Adamu Mu’azu in Abuja Wednesday said the president has done well to deserve another chance in office, promising to mobilize the entire party members his state for victory for the president the convention.”We did it in 2011 and I assure Mr. President that Akwa Ibom will do it again. We were the first set in 2010 to announce our support for him to go for his first tenure in 2011,” Akpabio said.

Adding, “we did that and other states followed. We are again the first state in 2014 to urge Mr. President to go back for a second term in office.”

He assured the president of a block vote from Akwa Ibom delegates, saying “We are a monolithic group in Akwa Ibom, although you may have one or two people who want to test the political waters here and there,” he added.

Meanwhile the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Adamu Mu’azu said the party under his leadership would ensure it halts the mass deflection of PDP members to the opposition APC.

Muazu assured party members that PDP under his leadership would reconcile all aggrieved members and would work for mass movement of people from other parties to PDP.
