GOMBE/News Investigators/ The Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has approved the appointment of Engr. Idris Mohammed Mahdi as Director-General, Gombe State Joint Project Development Agency.
Similarly, the Governor has approved the appointment of Dr. Kabiru Usman Hassan as Director -General, Gombe State Geographical Information System, GOGIS.
A statement by Senior Soecial Assistant on Media, Ismaila Misilli Uba, said the two appointments, which take immediate effect, are pursuant to the powers confered on the Governor by Section 208 sub section 2(d) of the 1999 constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended and the resolution of the Gombe state House of Assembly.
“The Secretary to the State Government, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi who conveyed the Governor’s approval, congratulated the new appointees and charged them to justify the confidence repose in them by bringing to bear their wealth of experience and expertise in the discharge their new responsibilities,” Mr. Uba added.
