WIKE APPOINTS ANOTHER BATCH OF 100000 SPECIAL ASSISTANTS

The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, has increased the number of newly appointed Special Assistants from 100,000 to 200000

The Special Assistant to Governor Wike on Media, Mr Kelvin Ebiri quoted Wike as having made the comment during the inauguration of the second batch of the first 100,000 special assistants from Rivers East Senatorial District at Omagwa, Ikwerre LGA.

Ebiri said that the Governor decided to appoint the additional 100000 aides in response to the request from Rivers people for inclusion in the government.

Justifying the curious appointments, Wike said that there is nothing wrong if he spends Rivers State money on the citizens.

 Wike, had on Thursday inaugurated the first batch of 100, 000 special assistants appointed by him .

 The Special assistants were  appointed with the mandate to take charge of  political units ahead of the 2023 general elections.

They were inaugurated by the Governor at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Omagwa in Ikwerre Local Government Area of the State on Thursday.

The first batch of those inaugurated  are from the Rivers West and Rivers Southeast senatorial district of the State.

The Governor who said that it was a privilege to serve as an aide in Rivers state congratulated the appointees and urged them to work hard.

He charged them to give attention to the views and people’s perception of his administration.

According to him, the new SAs have the mandate to note the impressions of the people about the administration and pass them  through the 319 Ward and 32 Constituency Liaison Officers who would in turn pass them to his office.

Wike stressed that the new appointees would determine the decision and political direction of the party and the state.
