…SAYS PDP NOT SERIOUS ABOUT WINNING 2023 PRESIDENTIAL POLL

The crisis in the main opposition party, the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, is yet to abate as the Governor Nyesom Wike has accused the National Chairman of Corruption.

Wike, on Friday, in a live Television programme in Portharcourt, said that the embattled National Chairman of the PDP, Dr. Iyorchia Ayu, of being collected N1 billion bribe in Lagos.

“Ayu is corrupt. Quote me. I am a lawyer and I am the governor of Rivers State. Ayu collected N1 billion in Lagos

“He told one of the PDP presidential aspirants before the primaries that the governors were not ready to fund the party

“I know how the money was arranged and those involved in packaging the money. He collected the N1 billion.

“Let him come out to tell Nigerians it is not true and I will reveal more.” Wike alleged.

According to him, Ayu manipulated the process of the PDP primaries, to favour his candidates adding that the PDP National chairman, lobbied other presidential aspirants to step down for the eventual winner, Atiku Abubakar.

Wike stated that the opposition PDP is not serious to win the 2023 Presidency with its arrogance.

Recall that Wike was one of the presidential aspirants, who lost to Atiku and who again lost to the Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa in the nomination for the running mate to Atiku.
