Wadada Inaugurates Classroom Project In  Karu, Kokona LGAs

News Investigators/ Ahmed Wadada, a lawmaker of the All Progressives Congress (APC) representing Nasarawa West Senatorial District, has inaugurated the construction and reconstruction of classroom blocks in schools in Karu and Kokona Local Government Areas (LGAs).

Mr Wadada inaugurated the projects on Monday at the Government Secondary School (GSS), Mararaba Gurku, Karu.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the projects include the reconstruction of a block of eight classrooms and a science laboratory at GSS Mararaba Gurku.

The senator also inaugurated the construction of a block of three classrooms with offices at Takalafian Dansai community in Karu.

Wadada also inaugurated a block of three classrooms at Local Education Authority (LEA) Primary School, Bakin Ayini, in Kokona LGA.

Speaking at the event, Wadada thanked the people for their support and said the projects reflected his commitment to education and human capital development.

He emphasised the importance of education, noting that religious teachings also encouraged the pursuit of knowledge.

“What we are doing today is part of our responsibility to provide a conducive learning environment for our children to study, excel and be knowledgeable.

“Education remains a critical component of human capital development,” he said.

The lawmaker said representation required attracting development projects that would directly benefit constituents.

He explained that while funding for the reconstruction of the eight-classroom block was attracted through the Bank of Industry (BOI), the other two projects would be fully funded by him.

Wadada, who was recently endorsed by Abdullahi Sule as his preferred successor for the 2027 governorship election, assured the people of more developmental interventions if elected.

In a remark, Dr Joel Haruna, Consultant and representative of the Bank of Industry, implementing the project at GSS Mararaba Gurku, said the bank had earlier completed a similar intervention at Kofar Hausa Primary School in Keffi LGA.

Haruna said the senator facilitated the new project following the successful completion of the earlier intervention.

He assured that work had commenced and the project would be completed within a few weeks.

“We have mobilised to site and within the next few weeks we will be back here to commission this project,” he said.

In his welcome address, Chairman of Karu LGA, Aliyu Madaki, commended the senator for attracting development projects to the area.

Madaki said the intervention would significantly improve teaching and learning conditions in the benefiting schools.

He expressed appreciation to the senator for supporting educational development in the local government area.
