UNCERTAINTY OVER GOVERNORSHIP/ASSEMBLY ELECTION AS INEC MEETS ON BIVAS CONFIGURATION 

The Independent National Electoral Commission might postpone the governorship and state assembly elections from March 11 to March 18.

There are strong indications that the the Commission might postpone the election by a week due to emergent logistic challenges concerning the requisite configuration and transportation of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System to be used for the election.

 The Network gathered that the Commission  is still deliberating on the date and the high possibility of postponing the election by one week.

Both the Commissioner in charge of information and voter education, mr  Festus Okoye and the Chief Press Secretary to the INEC Chairman, Mr Rotimi Oyekanmi, could be reached for connect.
