By Nuel Suji – In recognition of professionalism and handwork, Tom Garba Chiroma, an Adamawa based journalist and regular contributor to News Investigators has bagged an award of recognition in news reporting and investigative journalism.
Mr. Garba, who has relentlessly reported the activities of the insurgents group in the entire north east region, was honoured by the management of Periscope Global Limited, Publishers of TGNews for his style of writing, investigation and developmental journalism.
“He has attracted the management of Periscope Global Publishers Limited in it’s one year anniversary of publishing to award him with a recognition of balance excellent report.
“Tom who has been reporting the activities of the insurgents in the entire North East region and given out the face of the region a good name as there is a considerable returned of peace in the recaptured areas especially Adamawa state,” it stated.
At the occasion, Professor Abba. A Tahir, expert in public speaking, writer and an international translator of four world major languages, described Tom Garba as a hardworking journalist, adding that he enjoys reading his reports.
Prof. Tahir also described the publisher of the Periscope Newspaper, Ahmadu Dodo as a promising young man that should be supported in order to bring to bare best practices in journalism in Nigeria.
