News Investigators/ President Bola Tinubu has directed the withdrawal of the nomination of Imam Kashim Imam as board chairman of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA).
Mr. Imam’s appointment to chair the board of directors of FERMA earlier in the week generated heated controversy, with critics questioning the propriety of his choice following accusation of lack of job experience.
Mr. Imam was reported to have just graduated from the University and has not worked anywhere.
The President, in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, on Thursday said “the withdrawal of the above-mentioned nomination is directed with immediate effect.
“All other appointments to the Board and Executive Management team of FERMA are not affected by this directive,” it added.
