This Report Will Not Be Wasted, Jonathan Assures Nigerians

Says he's not desperate to serve

President Goodluck Jonathan on Thursday assured Nigerians that the report of the just concluded conference will not be a waste.

President Jonathan who stated this while closing the Conference said that recommendations of  Conference will be transmitted to National Assembly  for incorporation into the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. 
 
He said with the conclusion of deliberations at the conference and with the voluminous reports submitted by the Conference Chairman, Justice Idris Kutigi, “Our moment for national rebirth is here. We have to rekindle hope,” the President said.
 
The President, accompanied by Vice President Mohammed Namadi Sambo and some ministers, praised the 494 members of the conference for arriving at every decision through consensus without an option of a vote or division.
 
He said the quality of debate and the depth of contributions added to the ability of the delegates to resolve every argument without burying or suspending them was indicative of the fact that “it is a new dawn in Nigeria and a new nation is at the door.”
