Soludo Approves  50% Cut Off Mark  In CBT For Teachers’ Recruitment

The Anambra State Governor ,Prof. Charles Soludo has approved  50 percent score in a recently concluded Computer Based Test as the cut off for the  recruited examination into the state’s school system.

An estimated 31,000 teachers sat for the CBT on Saturday across the 21 local government areas of the state.

The exercise was held in batches and about 5, 000 of them will be employed by the state government.

Multiple entries for the purposes of the test were disqualified from the test. 

According to a source, “Yet to be discovered multiple applicants will also be disqualified when discovered”.

The State Commissioner for Education, Prof Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, said in a statement on Wednesday that the governor had approved 50 percent as the cut off mark for the just concluded examination with respect to the ongoing teachers’ recruitment exercise in the state.

The commissioner said those who scaled the 50 percent benchmark would take another qualifying examination on Saturday.

The statement reads on part that “This is to inform the public that the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo has approved 50 percent as the cut off mark for the just concluded examination with respect to the ongoing teachers’ recruitment exercise in Anambra State.”

“Candidates who scored 50 percent and above should prepare for another round of the examination on Saturday 18/06/2022.

“Candidates will only be checked into the examination hall on showing their personal identification cards, National Identification Cards and Voters Cards. Further details will be uploaded shortly.”

Findings showed that 40,000 applicants had initially applied for the 5, 000 teachers advertised by the state government for employment.

A total of 31, 000 were shortlisted for the CBT.
