The candidate of the Progressive Peoples Alliance (PPA) for Kogi Central senatorial election, Senator Nurudeen Abatemi-Usman has formally declared his total support for the presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), General Muhammadu Buhari (Rtd) in the election holding on Saturday, March 28.
The Senator seeking to return to the Senate for another term made the declaration while featuring in a live programme on Tao FM, a local radio station based in Ebiraland between 8 to 10 pm on Thursday to present his scorecard and interact with his constituents, as a way of rounding up his campaign, which took him to every nook and cranny of Kogi Central.
A statement by his media aide, Mr. Micheal Jegede, said, Abatemi-Usman urged Ebira people to vote for him in the Senate election on the platform of PPA and Buhari of APC for the presidential poll.
“I am using this medium to call on my beloved people of Ebiraland to give me their votes in the senatorial election to reelect me for a second term on the platform of Progressive Peoples Alliance (PPA). For the presidential election, vote for Buhari. I will vote for him because he is the best candidate for the presidency at the point in time. Buhari represents the change that Nigerians are asking for.”
The Senator used the programme to speak on the various projects he has facilitated to the central senatorial district of Kogi State and pledged to do more if given the mandate to continue beyond 2015.
He also implored the people to conduct themselves properly during the election and avoid any of form of violence, while expressing confidence that the exercise will be transparent, free and fair with the introduction of card reader by the Independent National electoral Commission (INEC)
