Security Operatives Comb Danjuma Goje’s Asokoro House

By Sadiq Umar – The Abuja home of the Chairman Senate Committee on Appropriation, Danjuma Goje has been raided by security operatives.

The house located on Haile Selassie street, Asokoro Abuja was besieged by armed policemen at about 5:15p.m Thursday.

The mission of the armed operatives was not immediately clear, a source within the premises hinted that the team claimed they have “information of suspicious movement of cash,” adding that “they claimed to have a warrant to search the house.”

It was also not known whether the former governor of Gombe State what in the house when the policemen moved in, the source said Mr. Goje, however, made frantic calls to Senate President Bukola Saraki and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara as soon as the team took over the premises.

“Oga has reached out to the Senate President and Speaker,” the source said, adding that “the situation is under control.”
