Recruitment: Police Screen 7,564 Candidates In Kano

News Investigators/ The Police Command in Kano State says it has so far screened 7,564 candidates in the ongoing recruitment screening exercise in the state.

The Spokesman of the command, Abdullahi Haruna, stated this in an interview with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Kano.

Mr. Haruna, a deputy suprintendent of police, said that the command had screened candidates from 24 out of the 44 local government areas of the state, adding that the remaining candidates would be screened before the end of the exercise.

He said the command had provided enabling platforms to captured all the candidates who registered for the exercise, adding that a mop up exercise would also be conducted for those who had earlier missed the programme.

He said that the exercise was being conducted in collaboration with community leaders and local councils’ representatives to ensure that only credible candidates participated in the event.

The spokesman said the command had adopted proactive measures to ensure compliance to the COVID -19 safety protocols to protect the candidates and personnel as well as stem further spread of the virus.

The said that the exercise was being conducted smoothly and had recorded impressive turnout of candidates.
