POLITICAL THUGS UNLEASHING MAYHEM IN LAGOS

••• SANWOOLU CAUTIONS AGAINST VIOLENCE 

 Political thugs are unleashing violence against voters in some parts of Lagos.

The Governor of Lagos State, Bajide Sanwo-Olu, after casting his votes cautioned against  any such incidents of voter intimidation in the state.

He stressed that elections are not meant to be war but for the peace and progress of Lagos and the nation at large.

 The are reports that political thugs were sighted beating up intending voters in Ilasamaja, Isolo wards of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government area of Lagos State.

The thugs subjected voters to humiliation by beating up those whose PVCs do not bear Yoruba names at Akinyemi Street were flogged with their PVCs because they do not bear Yorùbá names.

In his reaction, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, attributed the violence to the passion of Party supporters.

He urged security agencies to investigate abs arrest those behind the violence to ensure their prosecution to serve as a deterrent to others in  future elections.
