POLICEMAN SHOOTS TO DEATH SIX MOBILE POLICEMEN, FATHER IN LAW IN MAIDUGURI 

A murderous police sergeant, identified as Mr Bello, has shot six mobile policemen to death in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.
The incensed policeman also killed two civilians including his father-in-law whose identity was not given as at the time of filing this report.
The policeman also burnt down two blocks of eight rooms at the police quarters.
Daily Trust  trotted that the killings took place at Police College Quarters of the State Police Command.
It was learnt that policemen overpowered sergeant Bello and detained him at the State Criminal Investigation Department, Maiduguri.
It was gathered that the policemen who was obviously frustrated had a disagreement with his wife who packed her things out of his house.
A source said that efforts by his neighbours to settle his rift with his wife were unsuccessful.
The source said that that the angry policeman then embarked on a spree of shooting which claimed the lives of the six policemen and his father in law.
