The Anambra State Police Command has recovered decomposing bodies of two men kidnapped by gunmen in the State.
The two bodies belong to people who were kidnapped at different locations on April 3, in Ekwusigo Local Government Area while another one identified as Chief Okpore was earlier killed within the town.
The Network gathered that the gunmen kidnapped one Chief Kingsley Ebuka Magom who was later found dead days after he was kidnapped.
Investigations revealed that that the body of the deceased, which had already decayed was found on April 3, in Alaifite, Ekwusigo Local Government Area.
According to the Source close to the community, Kingsley was kidnapped some days ago alongside one Chukwemeka Christian Chukwunweike, who was a Welfare Officer of the “Anamenuebonyi Hemispherial Kegites Club.”
The source, disclosed that both victims were killed by the suspected kidnappers.
The source stated further that the two men were killed and that their bodies were dumped in the same area where Chief Okpore was killed.
Police Public Relations Officer of the command, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, when contacted, said that the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, has deployed his men to evacuate the corpses of the dead men and find out what actually led to their deaths.
Ikenga stated that investigation into the incidence has commenced with a view to unraveling the cause of the killings.
