Police Nab 11 Suspects Over Drug Trafficking In Abuja

News Investigators/ The Police Command in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja,  said it has arrested 11 suspects over drug trafficking  during coordinated operations across known drug black spots within the territory.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the FCT,  SP Josephine Adeh, said this in a statement on Sunday in Abuja.

She said the arrest of the suspects followed the efforts of the command to crackdown on drug trafficking in the territory.

“The raids, conducted by the Command’s Anti-Narcotics Unit, led to the recovery of 68 bags of substances believed to be cannabis.

“The arrests are part of ongoing efforts to disrupt criminal supply networks and reduce drug-fueled crimes within the nation’s capital,” she said.

Adeh said the arrest of the suspects was a major milestone in dismantling criminal supply chains, curbing drug-induced crimes, and ensuring that harmful substances were kept away from communities.

She pledged the commitment of the Command to intensifying operations against drug-related offences.

The FCT police spokesperson called on residents to support ongoing efforts by providing timely and useful information via the commands emergency lines on 08061581938, 08032003913, or 08107314192.
