The Peoples Democratic Party Candidates in Rivers and Zamfara States Similanayi Fubara and Dr Dauda Lawal-Dare respectively have been declared winners in the gubernatorial elections in the states.
The State Returning Officer in Rivers State, Professor Akpofure Rim-Rukeh said Fubara secured 302,614 votes to defeat his closest rival from the l All Progressives Congress, Pastor Tonye Cole, who scored 95,274 votes.
In Zamfara State, the PDP Candidate Dauda Lawal-Dare defeated the incumbent, Governor Bello Matawalle of the APC
The returning officer for the election, Professor Kasimu Shehu, said Dare scored 377,726 votes to defeat Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle who polled 311, 976 votes
