PDP Sets Up Katsina State Caretaker Committee

The National Working Committee the  Party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has approved the composition of the Katsina State Caretaker Committee to run the affairs of the State chapter for a period not exceeding 90 days (3 months).

The PDP NWC had approved the dissolution of the Katsina State Executive of the party on Wednesday.

The decision of the NWC is believed to be a fallout of the internal division  within the State chapter of the party which is blamed for the party’s defeat in the just concluded Governorship and State Assembly elections in the state. 

The National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Mr Hon. Debo Ologunagba, said in a statement on Thursday that the decision was taken on behalf of the National Executive Committee (in line with  Sections 29(2)(b) and 31(2)(e) of our the Constitution of the PDP (as amended in 2017).

Other members are Nura Shehu Giwa, Hon. Haruna Jami, Lawal Safana, Sanusi Audu Fari, Nura Ahmadu Kurfi, Sani Abdullahi Daba, Magajiya Lawal Matazu, and Ado Dan Turai 

Others are Hon. Hamza Yunusa Jibia,  Abdulhamid Danbatta, and Aisha Medinat Ibrahim.

The leadership of the party  urged  party leaders, critical stakeholders and teeming members in Katsina State to remain united and continue to work together for the task ahead.
