Ogun Police Command Arrests Four Boys for Beheading Girl For Money Ritual

The Ogun State Police command has arrested an 18 year old boy and three others for killing and beheading a girl for alleged money ritual.

The boys whose ages range between 17 years and 20 years were arrested by the police in the early hours of Saturday January 29, 2022.

It was gathered that the girl’s boyfriend aged 18 years had lured her to a building where he and the three other of his friends beheaded their unsuspecting victims or rituals.

The names of the suspects were given as Wariz Oladehinde,17 years, Abdul Gafar Lukman 19 years and Mustakeem Balogun 20 years respectively.

According to the police, the suspects were all arrested following information received at Adatan divisional headquarters from the head of the community’s security guard, who alerted the police that the suspects were seen burning something suspected to be human head in a local pot.

The Divisional Police Officer in charge of Adatan division, SP Abiodun Salau, quickly led a team of detectives to the scene, where the three suspects were arrested.

However, the boyfriend of the murdred girl, Soliu Majekodumi, 18yrs who took to his heels had been apprehended.

On interrogation, the suspects confessed that what they were burning in the local pot was the head of the girlfriend of their escaped accomplice.

They also disclosed that the girl who was simply identified as Rofiat was lured by her boyfriend simply identified as Soliu to where she was murdered by four of them.

According to them, after killing the girl they cut off her head, packed the remains in a sack and and dumped it in an old building.

They later led the policemen to the building, where the dismembered body was recovered and deposited at the General hospital mortuary for autopsy.

A short cutlass and a knife used in cutting off the deceased’s head were recovered from them.

The spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, who confirmed the incident to newsmen said the commissioner of police, CP Lanre Bankole, described the action of the suspects as height of callousness.

The commissioner of police had also ordered for manhunt for the fleeing boyfriend of the victim.

He further ordered the immediate transfer of the suspects to the homicide section of the state criminal investigation and intelligence department for discreet investigation with a view to arraigning them in court as soon as possible.
