Nigeria ‘ll Overcome Challenges As Christ Overcame Death – Lagos Speaker

News Investigators/ The Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, has expressed the hope that Nigeria will overcome its challenges as Jesus Christ overcame death.

Mr Obasa expressed the optimism in his Easter message to Lagos residents.

The message was issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Dave Agboola, on Sunday in Lagos.

The speaker said that as Christ overcame death, Nigeria would overcome its challenges  if  the citizens would remain steadfast, prayerful and committed to unity.

“As a nation, we face economic pressures and security concerns, but the resurrection teaches us that no situation is beyond redemption.

“Let us roll away the stones of division and despair, and work together for peace, justice, and prosperity,” the speaker said.

He congratulated Nigerians, especially Christians, on 2026 Easter celebration, urging them to embrace love and tolerance to move Nigeria forward.

“Easter is a season of hope and renewal.

“Christians should draw strength from the lessons  in Jesus Christ’s resurrection,” Obasa, who represents Agege 1 in the assembly,  said.

He described Easter as a reminder of victory over despair, renewal after trials, and triumph of light over darkness.

He called on the state residents to continue to show love and compassion to one another, saying that collective efforts would be key in building a stronger Lagos State and a better Nigeria.

The speaker prayed that the joy of Easter would bring renewed faith to the citizens and guide both leaders and the led toward a brighter future.
