By Sadiq Umar – The Niger Delta Avengers have claimed responsibility for the latest attack on the oil and gas facilities belonging the oil multi-national, Chevron.
The militant group defied the heavy presence of the military in the Niger Delta to blow up another oil facilities early Wednesday.
The latest attack was confirmed in a tweet posted through its Twitter handle- @NDAvengers.
According to the Avengers, the attack was carried out around 3.00 am and despite the heavy presence of the soldiers around facilities.
President Muhammadu Buhari is scheduled to visit the Niger Delta state of Rivers Thursday to kick off the cleaning of oil pollution in Ogoniland.
