News Investigators/ Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has inaugurated the apex campaign council of the Allied People’s Movement (APM) for Oyo State.
Mr Makinde, the party’s presidential candidate, urged the council during Friday’s inauguration to engage party leaders and integrate existing structures and platforms without delay.
He charged the council members to reach out to all stakeholders and ensure proper integration for an all-inclusive campaign structure ahead of the general elections.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the council is chaired by Nureni Adeniran, the Chairman of the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).
Mr Adeniran will serve concurrently as the Oyo State Coordinator of the APM 2027 Presidential Campaign and Director General of the Oyo State Governorship Campaign.
Other members of the council include the former Chairman of Oyo East Local Government, Mr Saheed Arowosaye, as Deputy State Coordinator.
Also, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Mr Demola Ojo, will serve as the Deputy Director General (Oyo South).
Dr Femi Ojo and Alhaji Siju Lawal are to serve respectively as Deputy Director General (Oyo Central) and Deputy Director General (Oyo North).
Mrs Ramata Dabo was appointed as Director, Women’s Wing, and Mr Kazeem Bolarinwa, a former Special Assistant (Youth) to Makinde, will serve as Director, Youth Wing.
NAN reports that the APM governorship candidate, Mr Bimbo Adekanmbi, and his running mate, Mr Mufutau Salawu, witnessed the inauguration with other party members.
