The Senatorial Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Mrs. Ireti Kingibe of the Labour Party has defeated the Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Senator Philip Aduda to win the Federal Capital Territory Senatorial seat.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) returned Mrs. Ireti Kingibe as the winner of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Senate seat.
The INEC Returning Officer, Prof. Sanni Saka who announced the result on Tuesday in Abuja.
Saka said that Ireti scored 202,175 votes to defeat her closest rival, Senator Philip Aduda of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) came second with 100,544 votes.
