Late Nollywood Actress, Ada Ameh Laid To Rest Amidst Tear In Benue

The remains of the late popular Nollywood actress, and entertainer, Ada Ameh, was on Friday, committed to mother earth at her ancestral home, Ogobia, in Otukpo local government of Benue State amidst tears.

The talented television personality died on 17th July 2022 at Warri, Delta State after a brief illness.

Benue State Deputy Governor, Engr. Benson Abounu, who was one of the eminent personalities that attended the burial, described her passage as a monumental loss to the Benue people, the Actors Guild of Nigeria and Nigerians in general, who love the enthralling roles she played in her movies.

Engr. Abounu, who called the late Ada Ameh Benue State ambassador plenipotentiary in the entertainment industry, said she gave all she had to humanity, and put smiles on faces of Nigerians with her jokes and amiable disposition.

He said her death coming soon after that of the wife of music icon, Bongos Ikwue, was a big blow to the Idoma nation and the entire Benue State.

The Deputy Govenor conveyed the condolences of the Government and people of Benue State to the Ameh Obande family, the Ugboju community, the Actors Guild of Nigeria and friends and fans of the popular thespian all over the country.

The event, which was attended by several Nollywood stars led by the
National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas, had in attendance Senator Abba Moro, the PDP Deputy Governorship candidate, Sir John Ngbede, Labour party senatorial candidate, Hon. Joe Ojobo, APC candidate, Dan Onjeh, PDP chieftain, Adabah Abah and a host of others.
