KADUNA TRAIN HOSTAGE NEGOTIATOR ARRESTED IN EGYPT, MAY BE RELEASED TO DSS

The International police, Interpol, on Tuesday quizzed the Abuja-kaduna train hostage negotiator, Tukur Mamu, and detained him at the Cairo International Airport.

He was arrested while awaiting a connecting flight to Saudi Arabia.

The Network gathered that he may be released on Wednesday to the Department of State Security (DSS), in Nigeria, on arrival.

Mamu, the Publisher of Desert Herald Newspaper in Kaduna who worked for the release of the majority of the March 28 2022 Kaduna Train, was with his two wives and one other person when he was quizzed.

According to reports he was released the next day and taken back to Nigeria by Interpol after he was interrogated and nothing incriminating was found against him.

It was gathered that Mamu is expected to arrive at Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano, Wednesday, and may be handed over to the officials of Department of State Security (DSS), in Nigeria.

Recall that Mr Mamu, had in the heat of the negotiation backed down from the negotiation arrangement due to what he described as a threat to his life by the federal government.

Many of the victims are still being held by the terrorists in their camp.
