Senate President Senator David Mark has for the umpteenth time urged the perpetrators of terrorism and bomb blasts in the country to sheathe their swords, saying, as killing of innocent citizens cannot be a solution to any problem.

Former Head of State General Muhammadu Buhari and Sheik Dahiru Usman Bauchi, were said to be likely targets of the insurgents’s attack that occurred in Kaduna on Wednesday.

Senator Mark noted that there is no where in the world where violence or killings of people had solved any issue but rather aggravated  and complicated issues.

Reacting to the twin bomb blasts  in Kaduna which left scores of residents dead, Senator Mark stated that the endless killings and destruction of property, would only worsen the economic and socio- political situation of Nigeria.

He therefore renewed his appeal to the perpetrators to hearken  to the voices of reason and embrace dialogue  which, according to him, the present administration consistently offer.

Mark stressed: “This resort to bestiality without human feeling any more is what cannot be contemplated or tolerated in a descent society . There are a lot of channels including the law courts or the National Assembly for any aggrieved person or group of persons to seek redress.

“Resort to killings is inhuman, barbaric and reprehensible . Let us meet at a common ground to solve this problem. Life is too precious to be wasted .I also know that no religion any where in the world preaches violence or killing of people.”

The Senate President however urged the security operatives not to be deterred by the turn of events but be further strengthened towards winning the war against terrorism .

He expressed condolence to the bereaved family even as he called on citizens to be more vigilance in this trying times.
