Kaduna Airlifts 1,158 Pilgrims To Medina For 2026 Hajj

News Investigators/ The Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency (KSPWA) says it has successfully airlifted 1,158 intending pilgrims from the state to Medina, Saudi Arabia, for the 2026 Hajj.

The agency’s Public Relations Officer, Ibrahim Makarfi, disclosed this in a statement issued on Sunday in Kaduna.

Mr Makarfi said: “The first flight departed on May 14 with 426 pilgrims, while the second left on May 15 with 389, while the third flight departed on May 16 with 343 pilgrims, and all landed safely in Medina.

“Pilgrims scheduled for the fourth flight are already at Hassan Usman Katsina International Airport awaiting departure later on Sunday.

“Pilgrims for the fifth flight began reporting at the Transit Camp, Mando, Kaduna, from 10:00 a.m. the same day.”

Mr Makarfi said Flynas Airline was the official carrier handling transportation for the 2026 Hajj operations.

He thanked pilgrims and stakeholders for their cooperation and patience, and reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to ensuring a smooth and successful airlift for all pilgrims from the state.
