The Group Managing Director of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Mr. Emmanuel Kachikwu, has fired all the Group Executive Directors (GEDs) of the corporation.

Kachikwu, who resumed his duty post as new NNPC’s GMD just Tuesday following the dismissal of Joseph Dawah, may have began the reform promised by the Muhammadu Buhari government in the corporation.

The new GMD also reduced the number of NNPC GEDs from eight to four.

A statement by the Group General Manager, Public Affairs, Mr. Ohi Alegbe, confirmed the development, saying the decisions have been conveyed to the directors.

The statement further expressed the GMD’s gratitude to them for their services to the corporation.

Those affected are Ian Udoh, Refining and Petrochemicals; Adebayo Ibirogba, Engineering and Technical; David Ige, Gas and Power; Attahiru Yusuf, Business Development; Dan Efebo, Leading Corporate Services; Bernard Otti, Finance and Accounts; and Aisha Abdurrahman, Commerce and Investments.
