JSC’s Intervention Necessary In Restoring Industrial Harmony In Osun – JUSUN

News Investigators/ The Judiciary Staffs Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) in Osun says it believes that the Judicial Service Commission’s (JSC) intervention is necessary to restore industrial harmony in the state.

This is contained in a statement issued by the Osun JUSUN chairman, Idris Adeniran, on Friday in Osogbo.

The union maintained that the JSC under the chairmanship of Justice Adepele Ojo ,Osun Chief Judge, can address the challenges, boost productivity, and maintain the judiciary’s integrity

JUSUN said inspite of numerous attempts including written letters and request for audience , the union has not been able to secure a meeting with the JSC state chairman , Justice Ojo .

It stated that the JSC chairman should reconsider the union’s request for a meeting in order to find lasting solutions to the issues on ground.

” We will continue to resist the unjustified non-implementation of outstanding promotions and welfare issues affecting our members .

” We urge Judiciary staff members to disregard false and baseless information aimed at undermining our collective resolve , ” the union said .

The union maintained that the strike remained indefinite until the JSC does the needful.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the union on Sept. 19 directed its members to withdraw their services immediately over unpaid entitlements.

The strike is also to compel the JSC to consider the 2024 and 2025 promotions for its members, as well as organise training for staff members .
