By Dipo Awojobi – The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, has slated a series of meetings for this week in continuation of his ongoing consultations with key stakeholders.
The Minister will meet Newspaper Columnists on Thursday, 21 January; Online Publishers on Friday 22 January; On Air Personalities (OAPs) on Saturday, 23 January and Musicians from the six geo-political zones on Sunday, 24 January.
All the meetings will be held in Lagos.
Since assuming office, the Minister has met Civil Society Organizations and representatives of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE), Nigerian Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) and Radio, Television, Theatre Workers Union (RATTAWU), among other stakeholders.
The meetings are aimed at bridging the information gap between the government and the people and carrying the stakeholders along in the formulation and implementation of policies.
