The Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) has dismissed as untrue, reports that the election materials for the re-run elections in Imo State were tampered with, saying nothing could be farther from the truth.
A statement by the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), for the state, Nasir Ayilara said the “unfortunate rumours have no routes but the handiwork of rumour mongers.
“All the materials used in the aforesaid elections are intact and in the strong room of the commission,” the statement added.
