The Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) in charge of Zone 12, Bauch/Gombe States, Audu Adamu Madaki was on Tuesday shot by rampaging gunmen in Kaduna State.
The Network gathered that while the AIG was lucky to have escaped with a gunshot wound on his leg, his police orderly was killed on the spot.
It was gathered that the unfortunate incident took place in the afternoon around 2:30 pm at Barde zangidi.
A source said that the orderly died in active duty inside the police escort van in the convoy of the police chief.
The Network gathered that the AIG ran into the attack while on his way to Abuja Attend the monthly conference of the Inspector-General of Police and senior police officers from the rank of commissioners of police in Abuja.
The police is yet to issue an official statement on the dastardly development.
