Guinness World Record: Irish Chef Topples Hilda Baci’s Record

A Chef from Ireland, Alan Fisher, has broken the world record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual held by  Hilda Baci.

In May, this year, Baci had broken the world record of 87 hours and 45 minutes set in 2019 by Indian chef Lata Tondon.

Baci who prepared over 100 pots of food during during the marathon cooking event set a record of 93 hours and 11 minutes.

Confirming the development, the Guinness World Records (GWR) announced that Fisher, a Japan- based restaurant operators now holds the record.

The World Record body confirmed that through its website that the latest record holder cooked for 119 hours and 57 minutes at his restaurant in Japan.

Guinness World Records announced Fisher’s record on X (formerly known as Twitter) on Tuesday.

GWR wrote, “Nigerian cooking queen Hilda Baci has been dethroned.

“Alan Fisher from Ireland cooked for an incredible 119 hours and 57 minutes at his restaurant in Japan.”
