A socio-cultural group, the Eastern Union, EU, has condemned the publication on the back page of the The Nation newspaper, on Monday with the curious title Obi-tuary by Sam Omatseye.
The opinion article targeted the Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 election, Mr. Peter Obi, the people of the South East and millions of his supporters.
National President, Eastern Union, Hon. Charles Anike, on Thursday in a statement described Sam Omatseye’s write up as a satanic publication.
He stated that the publication didn’t come to the organization as a surprise as since the launch of “Take Back Our Country Movement”, started many frustrating and wicked tax-masters are getting jittery and afraid.
According to the President of EU, Sam Omatseye’s Obi-tuary write up against Peter Obi is unfortunate and signifies indecent politics by the tribe of desperados.
He said from the writing of Omatseye, it was obvious that his slave masters are obviously getting more frustrated by the emerging realities on ground.
According Anike, Mr. Peter Obi’s growing influence and popularity is a threat to a lot of political jobbers and looters.
He added that, “political terrorists and bandits” across the country in their frustration and desperation are employing fake bishops, fake prophets, fake clerics, social media warriors, pen terrorists, including Nollywood fallen stars to unleash terror on the Peter Obi mass movement.”
Anike said that Omatseye is not alone in the circle of enemies of the Party’s Presidential Candidate and the future of Nigeria.
“So the more they write, tweet, speak, criticize, murmur against the Obidient Movement, and the Labour Party, the more Nigerians from all tribes and religions are embracing the emerging force that will eventually usher in a new era of hope and the new Nigeria of our dreams.
“They said in Labour Party, we will Labour in vain. They said that Labour Party have no structure that can win Presidential election.
“They said that Obi is only existing and known only on the social media. They said that Obi doesn’t have experience to run a government.
“They said that Obi is not known in the North since the northerners are not on social media. They said that Obi doesn’t give “shishi” and therefore cannot afford to buy votes during election.
“They said that Nigerians are hungry people that can’t resist their blood money. They said that the meaning of Obi is ‘Obi-tuary’
“They said that the Obi Presidency will forcefully retire all the political terrorists and their foot soldiers(Boko Haram, Bandits, Unknown gun men, Kidnappers, Ritualists etc).
“However, the more they attack, the more the Nigerian masses, especially the youths have continued to shine their eyes. In the light of the above, we can now understand the frustration and bitterness of Sam Omatseye.
“Nigerians are obviously rejecting his expired product-BAT. We lost our peace of mind and progress since 2015 but now we are very determined to recover them through Peter Obi movement…
“The shameless praise singers of both APC and PDP are beginning to understand how difficult it is, take market their bad products.
“Rather than devicing strategies to convince the few ignorant ones, they erroneously continue to endanger their diminished egos, by attacking the Obidient Children of God.
“Ofcourse we understand their fears on how to adjust to fit into a corruption free new Nigeria coming very close.” The statement reads.
