News Investigators/ Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir-Yusuf, has sent a fresh list of six commissioner nominees to the state House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.
The Speaker, Jibril Ismail-Falgore read the Executive letter containing the names of the commissioner nominees on the floor of the House, on Wednesday in Kano.
The commissioner nominees include retired Air Commodore Salisu Yushau, Prof. Sani Malumfashi, and Ibrahim Namadi.
The remaining are Mukhtari Yakasai, Dr Aminu Tsanyawa, and Idris Garba Mustapha.
The Majority Leader of House, Lawan Hussaini (APC – Dala) informed the house of the need for the state to fill the vacant positions in the ministries.
He requested for the house permission to invite the nominees to appear before the house on Monday for screening and confirmation.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that some ministries in the state like Internal Security, Youth and Sports, Science, Technology and Innovation, Humanitarian Affairs and Special Projects have no commissioners.
