News Investigators/ Sani Legbo-Kutigi, a former member of House of Representatives, says agriculture, infrastructure and other initiatives of the Niger State Governor, Umaru Bago of Niger will make lasting impact in the lives of the populace.
Mr Legbo-Kutigi, who represented Lavun, Mokwa and Edati Federal Constituency, said this during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Minna on Tuesday.
“This is evident in the way and manner he has been diligently handling the affairs of the state from May 2023 to date.
“He has been initiating policies and programmes aimed at further propelling the state to greater heights,’’ he said.
He, therefore, extolled the governor’s commitment towards transforming Niger into a world-class model.
“You are indeed a God-sent leader, bringing transformative change a d hope to the people of Nigeria State.
“Your dedication to development and progress is truly inspiring, your initiatives will have a lasting impact”, the ex-lawmaker told NAN.
According to him, Mr Bago has embarked on various developmental projects aimed at evenly transforming the state.
Mr Legbo-Kutigi said the impact of Bago’s leadership had reflected in several road networks across the state.
Mr Legbo-Kutigi commended Mr Bago for initiating the construction of 2,000 Kilometers of roads to connect communities in the state and boost its economic growth.
He said this included the Minna-Bida dual carriageway and Bida Ring Roads and recent inauguration of 20-year Bida Development Brochure.
The former federal lawmaker further said that the projects included water supply, education, health and agriculture.
“This has stabilised the state’s food security, combating hunger, poverty and unemployment.
“These projects are aimed at linking all parts of the state with the other parts of Nigeria. This is with the view to bolstering the socioeconomic development of the state,” he said.
He expressed optimism that the Bago administration would initiate more projects and timely complete them.
