News Investigators/ In line with the Federal Government’s policy on ‘Ease of Doing Business Programme, Governor Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has taken steps to provide conducive premises for the thriving of business activities with a view to wooing investors and boosting economic activities in the state.

This was disclosed by the State Deputy Governor, Dr. Manassah Daniel Jatau shortly after the meeting of Governors’ Forum in Abuja.

The Deputy Governor who represented Governor Yahaya at the meeting, said the earmarking of the Industrial Park in the state was a deliberate effort to provide business grounds by easing things for investors who are willing to come and invest in the state.

He said other steps being taken by the government to encourage business activities include, provision of infrastructure, relevant laws and transparent handling of matters to motivate the investors doing gainful business in the state, without doubting the circumstances surrounding their investment.

The Deputy Governor also highlighted on the intention of the state government to revisit the already existing forest reserves, with a view to ensuring they are brought back to live.

He said the move is intended at complementing the Gombe Goes Green project for the state to maximise the social, economic and environmental benefits derivable in tree planting for the overall good of the people in the state.

The Governors had earlier during the meeting, discussed the issues where they expressed commitment to support the Federal government’s efforts in the successful implementation.
