Former Oyo Governor, Abiola Ajimobi Is Dead

News Investigators/ The former govermor of Oyo State and deputy National Chairman (South) of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Abiola Ajimobi, is dead.

Mr. Ajimobi had been on a life support since last Friday at First Cardiology Hospital in Ikoyi, Lagos, after slipping into a coma after a lung surgery.

The former governor was earlier taken to the hospital where he received treatment for Coronavirus complications.

The 70-year-old had been on life support machine after he slipped into a deep coma and may not make any recovery going by the observations of medical experts around him.

The cause of the death is not immediately known but former governor, it was gathered, had no improvement in his condition and was also diagnosed to have kidney failure.

Doctors treating Ajimobi, it was reliably gathered, last Friday informed his family that his situation had defied every medical intervention and that only a miracle could bring him back to life.

Several prominent Nigerians including late Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Abba Kyari, a serving senator, pupolar journalists have died of Covid-19 related condition.
