The Ajose Adeogun branch of Zenith Bank in Victoria Island Lagos was on Thursday gutted by fire. The fire was said to have started at the branch located at plot 87.
The fire had affected one of the administrative offices located inside the bank before men of the state fire service arrived to put it out.
It was not clear the extent of damage caused by the inferno.
Confirming the incident, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Spokesperson in the South-West Zone, Mr. Ibrahim Farinloye, said there was no casualty or death.
“The Zenith Bank building at plot 87 Ajose Adeogun is on fire. Currently, the state fire fighting operatives are there,” he said.
