By Dipo Awojobi – The Federal Government has declared Monday, May 2, 2016 as a Public Holiday in celebration of 2016 Workers’ Day.
This was contained in a statement by the Interior Minister, Abdulrahman Dambazau, which was issued by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Bassey Okon Akpanyung on Thursday, April 28.
According to the Minister, Nigerian workers’ resilience, hardwork and commitment to the Change Mantra of President Muhammadu Buhari is commendable.
He urged them to continue to support the President’s anti-corruption fight and his desire to ensure security of lives and property, and to stabilize the economy.
