News Investigators/ The Federal Government has declared Monday, September 16, 2024 as a public holiday.
The day marks the celebration of the Eid-ul-Mawlid, the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
The Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, made the declaration on Friday while congratulating Muslim Ummah both at home and in the Diaspora on the occasion.
Mr. Tunji-Ojo urged the Muslims and Nigerians of other faiths to imbibe the spirit of patience, sacrifice and resilience.
He further urged Muslim Ummah to take the opportunity of the period to pray for enduring peace and a more prosperous egalitarian nation.
