News Investigators/ The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has commenced the collation of wards results for the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) Chairmanship election conducted on Saturday.
Addressing the party agents and observers, the AMAC Area Council Collection Officer, Prof. Andrew Abue, urged party agents and accredited observers on peacefully conduct.
Abue said that in every election someone must win.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that AMAC has 12 wards with 1,401 Polling Units (PUs) and 1, 680, 315 registered voters out of which 795,081 collected their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
A total of 16 registered political parties contested the area council chairmanship election.
For the Orozo Ward: The Ward Collation Officer, Mr Ahmed Mohammed, announced the total registered voters as 40,313 while the total numbers of accredited voters was 5,058.
