The founder of the Nigerian Advance Party (NAP) who was a delegate at the 2014 National Conference, was an advocate of devolution of power from central to federating units.
The late Braithwaite strongly canvassed for a Confederal Constitution to replace the 1999 Constitution during the last Conference in Abuja.
The deceased, aged 82, was also a well-known lawyer in Nigeria.
